If you blog, have a website, or even write articles like this one online, you need traffic.
Many sites and companies, even people will try to convince you that you must pay for traffic if you want any.
I have found several ways to generate high quality traffic online and it will only cost you a little bit of your time!
Step 1
Put your link anywhere you have a profile online. If you have a profile on any online forums or communities put a link in the website field if there is on or in the about me section. This will be especially useful where you are an active member or participant. Put your link in your email signature as well so you can generate traffic by sending emails on any subject. If you are allowed, add your link to your forum signatures as well.
Step 2
Use safelists to generate traffic. Safelists are email lists that allow you to legally send ads to their members. The other members will also send their ads to you so you need a Gmail account set up just for safelists. I recommend having two or three Gmail accounts for safelist advertising. Find safelists through an online search for "credit mailer" or "free safelist mailer". Send out your ad or promotion often. Chose a relevant yet catchy subject or title.
Step 3
Find websites who have content relevant to what you are promoting and see if they have a free link or website directory. Exchange links if you are able to as often as possible. If you have a banner you can use that and exchange banners with other sites. Find sites and forums that allow you to advertise your website for free. Quality traffic can come from anywhere so place as many ads as you can.
Step 4
If you aren't camera shy a video can generate loads of traffic. After you have your video, upload it everywhere you possibly can. This is a very popular and effective tool.Use any other social media outlets you can find to generate traffic.
